We want to get things right, and when we don’t, we fix them openly.
- Corrections fix factual errors. We correct the article and add a dated note at the end describing what was changed.
- Clarifications add context when an article was accurate but could be misunderstood.
- Updates add new information after publication and are noted with a date.
We do not silently change facts in published articles. Minor fixes to spelling, grammar or formatting that don’t change meaning may be made without a note.
To report an error, email contact@northcoastoregon.com with the article link, the specific error and, if possible, a source that shows the correct information. We review every request. See also our Editorial Policy.
