About North Coast Oregon

North Coast Oregon is an independent online publication covering Clatsop County and Oregon's North Coast: Astoria, Warrenton, Seaside, Gearhart, Cannon Beach and the rural communities along the Columbia River and the Coast Range.

What we cover. County and city government and how decisions in Salem reach the coast; the maritime economy, from the Columbia River bar to commercial fishing and the ports; energy, forests, beaches and the estuary; natural-hazard preparedness; and the people, organizations and events that make North Coast communities what they are. We work from public records, official data and named, verifiable sources, and we link to them so readers can check our work.

Ownership. North Coast Oregon is owned and operated by Seth Berns.
