Beginning June 16, and running through August 18, the Seaside Public Library will begin the 2012 Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme is “Dream Big, Read” and we will be offering something interesting for kids of all ages.
Are you ready for a quick “Dream Big” list of special events? Well here goes. June 26: Create a monster to display in the children’s room at “Monster Story Time”. June 29: Ventriloquist and magician Steve Taylor is back for an encore performance. July 7: Join Penny Walters Puppets as Batunia the bat goes on a musical tour of night time creatures. July 17: Family sing-a-long with “Beach Jam”. July 21: The “Reptile Man” is back with a whole mess o’ snakes. July 31: Kids create a spyglass, moon ornaments, and other goodies at the “Walk in Craft” event. Have I mentioned duct tape wallets, screenplay writing, or movie making? These are just a few of the special offerings in store for teens. I’m out of breath and I’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s in store for kids this summer at the Seaside Public Library.
Come on down and “Dream Big” at 1131 Broadway, across from the Swimming Pool, and sign up for a summer of fun. Give us a call at or check us out at www.seasidelibrary.org and
